This hands-on course introduces students to Felt, a modern, cloud-native GIS platform that simplifies the creation, sharing, and collaboration of interactive maps directly in the browser. Designed for users of all skill levels, this course explores Felt’s intuitive interface, its real-time collaboration features, and its ability to integrate spatial datasets from multiple sources without complex software installations.

Students will learn to upload and manage geospatial data, create compelling visualizations, and collaborate on spatial projects with others in real time. The course also highlights how Felt fits into the broader cloud GIS ecosystem and its applications everyday geospatial problem solving.

By the end of the course, learners will be equipped to build interactive maps, present spatial stories, and use Felt as a rapid prototyping tool for geospatial analysis.

What will i learn?

• Students will confidently upload datasets, style map layers, add annotations, and create meaningful visualizations.
• Students will design complete interactive maps and share them publicly or privately using Felt’s publishing tools.
